Culture & Values

Our culture at Turnand Truffle

Professionalism, inclusivity and a genuine passion for exceptional service are the foundations of our team. We create a workplace where high standards and warmth sit side by side.

Professional, not pretentious

We operate like a polished supper club: crisp standards, sharp uniforms and meticulous timing, balanced with relaxed, conversational service that feels distinctly Australian.

Inclusive & people-first

We welcome team members from all backgrounds, valuing lived experience, curiosity and kindness. Rosters are built with wellbeing in mind, especially around late finishes.

Service that tells a story

From a chef-led menu to hosted poker tables, every touchpoint is choreographed. We train our teams to narrate dishes, explain pairings and guide guests through the evening.

Work Environment

Where service meets atmosphere

Turnand Truffle feels like a members’ dining room – intimate, low-lit and impeccably run – with an additional layer of hosted poker evenings that bring a social-club energy to the room.

  • Smoked timber dining rooms with clean lines, copper accents and thoughtful sound design for calm, focused service.

  • Offline poker nights hosted at the venue only, with structured runsheets, clear house rules and a responsible-play approach.

  • Close-knit team across kitchen, floor, bar and events, with open communication between service and leadership.

  • Professional tools including structured briefings, POS training and clear SOPs for both dining and poker evenings.

All poker activity at Turnand Truffle is hosted in person at the restaurant for guests aged 18+ only and is subject to venue rules and Australian regulations. We promote moderation, social connection and responsible play at all times.

Hospitality team members standing together in a premium restaurant

Head Chef

“We run a tight, respectful kitchen – ambitious food without the old-school shouting.”

Our kitchen culture is built on discipline and calm communication. Service can be intense, but we plan properly, prep well and back each other. The result is food we’re proud to send and a space where people actually want to build a career.

Floor Manager

“You get the buzz of a late-night venue, with the structure of a serious restaurant.”

Our guests might be celebrating milestones, entertaining clients or settling in for a full poker evening. Your role is to read that energy, set the pace and make sure every table feels looked after from first drink to last goodnight.

Events & Poker Host

“It’s about storytelling and structure, not selling a dream of big wins.”

On poker nights, we are hosts first and foremost. We explain the format, keep people comfortable and ensure the evening feels social and responsible. Guests leave talking about the food and atmosphere as much as the game.
